About Me
Eva van Eeghen MA (Couns.)
I grew up in the Netherlands and New Zealand, and also lived in France for two years before settling in England.
My first professional background was in Nursing, and I came to Counselling when I realised that the part I loved best was to sit with people and accompany them on their emotional and psychological journeys.
I gained a Master of Art degree in Counselling (Person-Centred) from the University of East Anglia (UEA), following completion of the Post-Graduate Certificate, and the Diploma, in Person-Centred Counselling.
These trainings are all accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), of which I am a Registered and Accredited member.
I have many years of experience, through my work as a counsellor, of helping and supporting people to live more fulfilling and satisfying lives. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and backgrounds and I believe that counselling can be helpful at whatever stage or place in life you find yourself.
I have taught on both the Introduction to Counselling Skills and Certificate in Counselling Skills courses at the Norwich Centre, and I was a Personal Development (P.D.) facilitator on the Diploma in Person Centred Counselling, also at the Norwich Centre. I have in the past taught on the Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills at the UEA.
